Hey ya'll!!!

I'm still alive.

For the two of you who read my blog every day, thanks for your concern :)

Here's my sob story.

Two weeks ago I took a nice tumble down a carpeted staircase. My left hip took the brunt of the impact... The sciatic nerve in my left leg, as a result... Well, let's just say she's pissed at me. Even two weeks later. As a matter of fact, she's more angry today than she was two weeks ago.

I'm not sleeping.
I'm in constant pain.
I'm absolutely miserable.

Nothing helps. Not percocet, not vicodin, not flexoril or norflex. Not 800mg ibuprofen.

Someone, please, put a bullet in me.

Oh Epi :(
I was hoping you were okay! But this is just disheartening!! You need to get to feeling better soon, because I know that the blogosphere is missing you greatly.

No, like really. I've been jonesing for a post :) Feel better!!

There are two things that work for sciatica: chiropractic and acupuncture. Both are great for pain control. I have lumbar scoliosis that causes some nerve and muscle pain when I work too many 12-hour shifts in a row on my feet, and MAN! One good crunching by the chiro or some nice needles from the acupuncturist totally fixes me right up.

OMG Epi! I agree with Guitargirlrn, give chiropractics a whirl. What have you got to lose? Hope you feel better honey! Mwah!

I was going to suggest it as soon as I read your post, but I read everybody's comments first, and GuitarGirlRN had already mentioned it. My stepdad is a nonprofessional acupuncturist, and I can honestly say that those needles work wonders. Seriously, you should try it. It doesn't hurt at all, although it does make me a bit nauseated. But that's just me. I hope you get to feeling better.

Sorry for your pain. If it makes any difference, your last post made me LOL.

Thanks to everyone who left such wonderful comments... I seriously love you guys ;)

And for those who recommended chiropractic treatment... Done and done. Had my first adjustment today.

When I had sciatica I wound up in aquatic therapy 3 x week for a month. It's relaxing and very very very effective. Based on zero gravity and natural decompression. Haven't been bothered with it in 3 years now.
