Ice Storm, 2004 (EpiJunky)
This was an ice storm that literally shut down a quarter of the state. And it happened on Christmas Eve. Parts of Newark, OH (where this was taken) went without power and/or phone service for WEEKS. Our typical three hour drive home took us five hours. The only beauty that could be found in this situation took place in scenes like this. The ice, with the sun setting behind it, was gorgeous.

Hey...just added you to my blogroll. Love the photos btw. I carry my camera EVERYWHERE but alas, end up with a lot of point and shoot type photos :) Yours are amazing!
Oh My goodness, thank you so much for the kind compliment :) It made my day!
I'd love to add you to my blog roll as well but I can't seem to get to your blog...
That is a beautiful picture! Wow, nature is gorgeous... but can be so destructive.
