The sun did not shine, it was too wet to play, so we sat in the house all that cold cold wet day...
I set down the empty coffee mug, my third of the day. The little girl had just finished her cereal. Her brother is at school and we find ourselves in familiar territory.
"So little one, what do you want to do today?" I'm fairly certain she's not going to answer me with go to the range or oogle guys in turnout gear. Two things that would greatly improve my mood.
"Uhm.... Cartoons!"
Of course.
"How about a book," I offer. "Or Playdoh, or we could play with the trains or the rescue heroes!"
Anything but cartoons. I'm not against letting her watch them. I'm just finding that she'd rather watch them than do something a little more creative. Or *gasp* educational.
But she is three. And I'm working on choosing my battles. So I counter with an offer of half an hour of cartoons followed by coloring. She accepts the offer.
I flip on the tv and am greeted by this:
For the love God and all that is holy, what in the hell were they thinking?
The DJ guy freaks me out.
I have no idea what the bumpy red thing is, but it reminds me of something they were selling at a sex toy party I went to a few years ago.
The pink bubble flower raindrop shaped thing is named Foofa, something that amused me to no end.
The blue one's name is Toodee, apparently, and it's a "cat dragon" according to wiki. I had to look it up because I really wasn't sure what it was other than a reject from Ren and Stimpy.
The robot and the little green monster didn't impress me at all.
It gave me a headache almost instantly. Of course SWR LOVED it. She danced around the living room like she was on a three day sugar bender.
I would rather watch three hours of Wonderpets than another half hour of this show.
The next time some crayzee is holed up in a house with the swat team outside they should just pipe the audio from this show in.
I should have just read her The Cat In The Hat.

Gee, and I thought "Ed, Edd & Eddie" was bad... You have my sympathy. 'Course... it coulda been Barney. **shudder**
"Yo Gabba Gabba" sucks the big, meaty one. I've banned it at our house because it sets my teeth on edge.
my toddler cries when Yo Gabba Babba shows up on the TV set. i don't blame him. Smart boy! :)
This show creeps me the hell out and I am so so so so grateful my kids don't like it either!
